Came across Watchy[1] by SQFMI when going down the rabbit hole on hackable devices. I have always avoided hardware (seem to have infinite patience for software but am not confident with hardware). Had to buy it for the promise of open source hackability - a device that works how I want it to where the possibilities for what I can do with the data are endless.
